Prepare your hands because great work is coming!

July 2026

Our partners so far have managed to implement the projects objectives so far very impressively!

They continue their hard work for the next objectives where each partner will develop an interactive SEL Toolkit, providing parents with practical, engaging resources to help DHH children explore and express emotions, build social skills and develop self-advocacy abilities. The toolkit will include board games, flashcards, emotion-based card prompts and structured activities, all designed to support positive communication, independent thinking, and resilience. These toolkits will be ready on our online platform by September 2026.

The toolkit content will include a variety of structured activities and interactive materials as follows:

  • Board games and flashcards related to emotions and social interactions will help children identify emotions, recognize facial expressions and practice appropriate social responses in a fun and engaging way (developed by Inquiry Fuse).
  • Self-expression and self-advocacy prompts, including card decks with emotional scenarios and life experiences (developed by InterAktion), will provide structured conversation starters that encourage children to articulate their feelings, needs and experiences, strengthening self-confidence and self-awareness.
  • Self-regulation strategies through guided storytelling and play-based exercises (developed by Tilburg University) will support children in learning how to manage emotions, cope with challenges and navigate social situations through role-play and narrative-based learning.
  • Parent engagement strategies, providing structured techniques for facilitating emotional discussions (developed by KMOP), will support parents with the skills to initiate and guide meaningful conversations about emotions and social interactions, ensuring ongoing emotional support at home.

Emotion-mapping tools, helping parents guide children in recognizing, naming and processing emotions (developed by CEL), will include visual aids and structured exercises to help children develop a broader emotional vocabulary and strengthen emotional intelligence.
